ICAR- KVK Peren was established on 6th August 2016 becoming the 10th KVK’s in the state of Nagaland, Shri. Radha Mohan Singh, Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare laid the foundation stone. Officially launched on 8th November 2016 at Tamzaipa Hotel Conference hall by Shri. Rhosietho Ngouri, SDO (Civil) Jalukie Town under the administrative control of ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam, Meghalaya under ICAR- Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (ATARI), Zone-VII, Umiam, Meghalaya for testing location specific technologies developed by research Institute/Agricultural Universities for large scale demonstration with the capacity building/skill development for farmers, farm women, rural youths, school drop outs and extension functionaries in the district.

Activities:
In addition, KVKs produce quality technological products (seed, planting material, bio-agents, livestock) and make them available to farmers, organize frontline extension activities, identify and document selected farm innovations and converge with ongoing schemes and programs within the mandate of KVK.
